New Year. New music coming.
Feb 09, 2012A little late in wishing you all a Happy New Year, but 2012 has already been a whirlwind.
I was so fortunate to end 2011 and ring in 2012 with the best bunch of fellow musicians a gal could ask for. The Co-Op and Friends brought down the Unitarian Church of Montpelier, VT with Syd and Patrick, my fellow members of Hotels & Highways, as well as our dear friends Lowell Thomson, Justin Levinson & The Valcours, Todd Martin, Tim Blane, and Zac Clark. This First Night event was a success thanks to all these great musicians, the wonderful people of Montpelier and, if I do say so myself, my brownies.
The awesomeness of 2012 continued with a Hotels & Highways show with our pal Mia Dyson in San Francisco to benefit The Trevor Project. While in California I also got to sing some backing vocals for Mia's new record, which is being produced by Syd and Pat....and let me tell you, you're going to want this album when it's done!
More details to come soon about the solo shows I'm planning for the Spring and the new music and summer tour from Hotels & Highways and Mia Dyson!!

I(rene did not) LOVERMONT
Sep 02, 2011As you probably have been reading or seeing on the news for the past few weeks, our little state of Vermont was hit hard by flooding as a result of Miss Irene. My loved ones and I were lucky, but many friends and fellow Vermonters across the state were not. Some lost covered bridges, businesses, roads...even homes. Though power and water have been restored to most places and major progress has been made since the storm, many people are still in need of assistance and will be for months to come.
The response so far has been heartwarming. From opening their homes for hot showers to donating time to help clean up, Vermonters have come together to start healing. I would like to offer my help to those who need it during this time with what I have to give: my music. When you click the DONATE button you see on the right-hand sidebar of this page, you will receive a download link for my album, "Momentum," and I will give 100% of the proceeds to The Woodstock VT Area Flood Relief Fund. This fund, created by Sustainable Woodstock, will help the families in most dire circumstances receive the food, water, medicine, clothing and assistance they need. Lisa P Summer Shows!

Hope you're all enjoying a relaxing and beautiful summer. I am cherishing every bit of green here in Vermont. June brought me out to California to reunite with Hotels & Highways and to meet our new friend and partner-in-crime, Mia Dyson, for our Welcome Trespassers Tour. From San Francisco to San Diego, we rocked the Golden State, lucky enough to fill in as Miss Mia's backup band as well as have her join us on bass. It was a blast and you can certainly expect to see more of us (and Mia) in the fall, but in the meantime...
I do have some local Upper Valley solo gigs coming up where I'd love to see any Vermont and New Hampshire folks (or anyone looking for a New England summer getaway)! I'll be at The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm, The Hartland Farmers' Market, Fire Stones, and I even have a special duo gig with my brother, TJ Piccirillo, at the Quechee Club. Hotels & Highways National Tour a Success!
May 09, 2011Hello friends,
Well, I've been home for a few weeks now after completing a 7-week, 30-city national tour with Hotels & Highways (which, as you know by now, is my band with fellow singer/songwriters Syd and Patrick Thomas). We were so fortunate to have been helped on our way by so many supporters; whether you donated to our Kickstarter fundraising campaign, welcomed us into your homes, or came out to a show, we celebrate you! We cannot thank you all enough for making this tour a success. If you missed out on the shows or (gasp) don't have our record yet, you can visit our YouTube page for videos, our Facebook page for updates, or our online store to get your copy of "Lost River" or your limited edition H&H t-shirt!
This tour was a dream-come-true and marked many "firsts" for me...first (and second) time driving cross-country, first time in beautiful cities such as Nashville, New Orleans and Denver, and first national tour. Not only did Syd, Pat and I have a great time, "Lost River" earned us a spot at ASCAP's SXSW showcase alongside The Civil Wars and Dan Wilson, has held a steady spot on the Roots Radio Charts, and was named an Amazon.com Editor's Pick for 2011! Not bad for a little cabin-grown record.
Though we're home in our various corners of the country, Hotels & Highways will certainly be living up to our name again soon...
Happy Belated Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers out there, especially MY MOM who I'm lucky to have as my biggest fan. She wins the prize for most Hotels & Highways shows attended on this tour...four shows total from New York to Burlington with my dad and bro in tow!

New Year! New Website! New Band!
Jan 28, 2011I'm thrilled to debut this brand new lisapiccirillo.com, designed by none other than the multi-talented Erin "Syd" Sidney with help from our dear friend and Co-Op designer, Aaron Taylor-Waldman.
2011 marks the beginning of what has promised to be a wonderful year filled with wonderful music made with wonderful people. If you've been in the Lisa P loop at all over the last 6 months or so, you know that I teamed up with Syd and Patrick Thomas (who helped make "Momentum") again in September. We ran off to a cabin in the woods, wrote and made an unexpected record, and knew immediately thereafter that we had to do something with that music that was worthy of the experience we had making it.
Since the cabin, Hotels & Highways has been so blessed to have the incredible support of our fans (many of you among them) who shattered our $10,000 fundraising goal on Kickstarter and insured the successful release of our debut record and a 6-week national tour that we're counting down to right now!! "Lost River" will officially be released on March 8, 2011, and by that time we will have already played our first shows of the tour. Full tour dates will be announced soon and I'm so thrilled to have such fine companions on this journey; this is the first time I will get to tour the whole country so make sure you come out to welcome us to your various cities (New York, Boston, Saratoga, Burlington, Nashville, New Orleans, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Chicago, Buffalo and MORE)!
